TITLE: LIGHTSCAPE

The Academy will focus on the UNESCO’s initiative which deals with light as a basis for future technology development and light as a necessity in Architectural and Urban developments. The modules of the Academy will treat light as the main focus in its applications in the respective fields in Architecture and Urbanism. The Summer School aims to sensitize students to the importance of natural light and focus on reducing the use of artificial light through systemic access to Architectural and Urban design.

Upon completion participants are expected to:

• know about to the importance of light
• understand the approach they need to take during design
• treat light as a very important part of designs
