TITLE: SUMMER ACADEMY OF MULTIMEDIA

In the Summer Academy of Multimedia  participants will have the opportunity to learn news writing skills, photography techniques and standards, and social media management with a focus on news promotion. Participants for a week will learn everything they need to write a news story, by being a direct participant in covering the event on the ground, writing the news in the office and publishing it on the UBT portal and social networks. Also, they will learn everything they need to know about photography, techniques and the creative part of shooting pictures that speak more than a hundred words.

Participants of this Multimedia Academy will be offered a special workshop to understand how social media works, the power of algorithm and the importance of content on social media. At the end of the Academy will be presented the work of all participants in a special event. Also, within the Academy there will be a competition of participants for the best news, the best photo and the best posting, which will be announced and then published on media and social networks.

Upon completion participants will be able to:

• show an understanding of the field of  journalism, photography and social media
• write a news story
• take pictures
• place the news on social networks
