TITLE: Ethics in the pandemic, fake news and the case of Ukraine

This workshop-debate table is organized with former UBT students who are engaged in various media and with current students.

The pandemic and the developments around it have shown and identified many defects in the reporting by various Kosovar media. Violation of Ethics is serious in their appearances and it is important for us to see these flaws from the perspective of our engaged students.

Also the students participating in the workshop will be engaged with various presentations and live debates.

The workshop is planned to last approximately two hours, with a 15-minute break.

At the end of the academy the participants will be able to:

• recognize the role and function of the media in difficult times such as the COVID pandemic 19.
• understand the importance of the media in informing and avoiding fake news.
• analyze the role of the media in reporting on current events, the case of Ukraine.
