TITLE: Ethics in reporting sensitive news

This forum – roundtable discussion is organized with former UBT students who are engaged in various media and with current students.

Ethics in reporting by various Kosovo media outlets. Violations of ethics are serious in their representations and it is important for us to see these shortcomings from the perspective of our engaged students.

Students participating in the workshop will also be engaged in various presentations and live debates.

The workshop is planned to last approximately two hours, with a 15-minute break.

 

Expected Results:

At the end of the academy, participants will be able to:

  • Outcome 1. Recognize the role and function of the media in difficult times such as in the case of news from disasters or potential unrest.
  • Outcome 2. Understand the importance of the media in informing and avoiding fake news.
  • Outcome 3. Analyze the role of the media in reporting events from disasters or potential unrest.
