TITLE: THE IMPACT OF RES ON THE KOSOVO POWER SYSTEM

TARGET GROUPS

The Summer Academy serves as a platform to build capacity, exchange knowledge, and promote innovation in the field of Energy Engineering. Overarching Goal for All Participants is to foster cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary collaboration, enabling participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of the full cycle of energy systems development, particularly in the context of renewable energy integration into Kosovo’s power sector.

The Summer Academy is designed to attract a diverse group of participants and stakeholders operating across various sectors and disciplines that are essential to the development and functioning of the energy system.

The program targets individuals and institutions from the following categories:
1. Academic Staff and students

  • University Professors and Lecturers in energy engineering, environmental science, and related disciplines
  • Bachelor’s Students and Master’s, specializing in Energy Engineering and Environmental Engineering

2. Energy Sector Professionals

  • Engineers and Technicians from: Transmission System Operators (e.g., KOSTT), Distribution System Operators (e.g., KEDS), Renewable Energy Companies (solar, wind, biomass), etc.

3. Civil Society and Community Stakeholders

  • NGOs and Community-Based Organizations working on: Energy efficiency

4. Private Sector and Industry Representatives

  • Companies and start-ups involved in: RES development and deployment, Energy storage technologies, Energy consulting and technical services

 

QUALIFICATION AND CRITERIA PROCESS
All participants who will participate in the Summer academy will receive a certificate of participation in Energy Engineering on the topic: The Impact of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) on the Kosovo Power System.

EXPECTED RESULTS
At the end of this event, students will gain knowledge in the Summer Academy in Energy Engineering on the topic: The Impact of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) on the Kosovo Power System.
