TITLE: Lingua Summer Academy – English in Action through Student Research

Time: July 15–17, 2025

The Department of English Language at UBT, as part of UBT Global Fest 2025, is organizing the next edition of Lingua Summer Academy 2025, with a focus on the active engagement of students through academic research and modern teaching practices.

This three-day academy will serve as an interactive space for practical learning, focusing on interaction, creativity, and the presentation of students’ research and language work. The academy invites students, educators, and participants from the fields of education and English language, offering opportunities to share experiences, present projects, and explore innovative pedagogical approaches.

On the first day, third-year students of the English Language program will present their micro-theses, reflecting academic interests in various fields such as linguistics, technology in education, literature, intercultural communication, and language skills development.

The second day will focus on the presentation of projects and workshops developed by participants, including creative initiatives and cultural activities conducted in the English language.

On the third day, a practical workshop titled “Micro-thesis” will be held. This session aims to guide interested participants through the key phases of preparing a research project at the Bachelor’s level, focusing on structure, research process, citations, referencing, and effective content organization.

Lingua Summer Academy 2025 remains a significant initiative for promoting students’ research, presentation, and language competencies, while building bridges of collaboration between higher education and the wider educational community.
