TITLE: Mental Hygiene and Mindfulness

Time: 08 July (11:00-12:30 & 15:00-16:30)

Everyday stressors and many challenges we face in our everyday lives pose many risks to our mental health. Therefore, it is important to take care of our inner peace and to seek support in overcoming difficulties we may face.

The workshop is designed to provide participants with knowledge about the main causes of stress and other psychological disturbances related to their daily lives and coping with difficulties and challenges.

Expected results:

Participants will learn more about the concept of Mental Hygiene, and will gain basic skills to practice regular activities for its development and maintenance. Through the exercises of relaxation techniques and Mindfulness, participants will gain knowledge as well as new skills to manage and overcome more effectively situations that may cause them psychological distress and spiritual suffering.

Target group:

The workshop will be dedicated to all participants (students and staff) of all summer academies and will last 1.5 hours. The workshop can be attended by about 20-25 participants. In case there may be a high number of interested parties, the workshop will be repeated in an additional schedule with different groups to meet the requirements of all interested parties.
