TITLE: Political Sciences and National Security

Topic:”Recent conflicts and their impact on International Security and Diplomacy- The important Role of U.S Army.”

The Summer Academy of Political Sciences and Security Studies is an excellent platform for discussing and analyzing important security topics that deeply affect states, security systems and society in general. This year’s theme, “Recent conflicts and their impact on International Security and Diplomacy. “is important for addressing the new challenges for International Security derived from the recent conflicts involving Russia-Ukraine, Middle East and the impact on Western world, our region, hybrid threats and democracy in general.

Participants of this academy will have the opportunity to benefit from a series of structured activities, including thematic lectures and open discussions from experts of Security and military, experts of media and diplomatic visitors. Local and regional experts, along with prominent representatives of the U.S KFOR, Embassies and other institutions, will share their knowledge and experience on these topics. Discussions will address current challenges related to International Security, and how should they be approached and analyzed by future security experts.

Expected Outcomes

After the conclusion of the Summer Academy of Political Sciences and Security, with a focus on the theme of New challenges of International Security, several significant outcomes are anticipated:

1. Participants are expected to gain a deep understanding of the recent conflicts, the challenges and changes that International Security faces. Discussions, lectures, and workshops will bring forth new knowledge and diverse perspectives on these complex issues.
2. Experiences and discussions during the summer academy may lead to the identification of the need for improving and supporting the free world mechanisms to defend itself and maintain peace. Participants are expected to be involved in these discussions with Q&A’s and their perspective on certain topics.
3. The activities of the summer academy are expected to contribute to increased public awareness regarding the importance of Kosovo’s National Security and it’s important Allies (specially U.S.A). Participants can become ambassadors for this cause and help foster an American and NATO influence.
4. The Summer Academy can aid in the creation of a strong network of professionals and international experts in Kosovo and beyond. This could improve collaboration between institutions, civil society, and the private sector to address challenges in this field. Refugees who are media experts will share their stories from Ukraine and Afghanistan, and students can get a new view from them.
5. The outcomes of the Summer Academy and the proposals from participants may influence the necessity of Kosovo to strengthen the Security cooperation between academia and security.

Overall, it is expected that the Summer Academy will contribute to raising the level of discussions and actions to improve the general knowledge of the Importance of U.S Army in Regional Security and Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic Path.
