TITLE: FROM TRADITIONAL TO MODERN CIVIL ENGINEERING

The organization and holding of the summer academy aim to: Fulfilli the plan and program within the studies (Bachelor and Master) in the program Civil Engineering and Infrastructure. Providing additional knowledge to participants (students and other stakeholders) related to the field of construction and infrastructure. Organizing the Summer Academy in cooperation with International Universities and applying the most innovative technologies such as 3D Printing and BIM, especially with the Faculty of Civil Engineering from the University of Riga, Latvia, Algarve University in Portugal, Sofia University in Bulgaria, local and international companies and our international collaborators. Organizing the Fair of companies related to our faculty and similar faculties. Organizing practical study visits where construction cases, various buildings, stone factories, projects and materials will be presented. Exchange of experiences between the participants of the summer academy, including the aspects of socialization between them.

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Participants would know and receive knowledge that goes beyond the study program which is of interest to the professional development of the participants (in this case students and other stakeholders);
  • Students would share their experiences with presenters at the summer academy, students and all participants;
  • Students would obtain to present and hold their presentation work in front of the participants in the academy;
  • Students would obtain benefit from the best international experiences from 3D printing and BIM modeling
  • Students would manage to gain knowledge on construction companies, materials, projects, etc.
