Tourism and sustainable development is a concept of tourism that encompasses efforts to have a positive impact on the environment, society, and the economy.
Tourism can include primary transportation to the site, public transportation, lodging, entertainment, recreation, dining, and shopping. It may be associated with vacation travel, family businesses, etc. There is now a broad consensus that tourism development must be sustainable; however, the question of how to achieve this remains controversial. Without travel there is no tourism, so the concept of sustainable tourism is closely related to the concept of sustainable mobility. In this program, participants will be familiarized with the topic of tourism and sustainable development, how tourism affects sustainable development, what challenges it poses, and what types of tourism (winter tourism, coastal tourism, cultural tourism, elite tourism, rural tourism, nautical tourism, health tourism, religious tourism, etc.) exist in the different areas of Kosovo and Albania. For this purpose, different itineraries of tourists through Kosovo and, if possible, Albania are compiled and illustrated.
