The primary objective of the Summer Academy is to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge of both the theoretical and practical aspects of Energy Engineering. Through expert panel discussions and interactive workshops, participants will gain insights into modern power systems, renewable energy technologies, global energy transition challenges, energy security, and sustainability.

The central theme of the Summer Academy at the Faculty of Energy Engineering is “Challenges of the Sustainable Energy Transition.” The program is designed to address key issues arising from the ongoing energy transition, including the integration of renewable energy sources, energy storage systems, battery technologies, and other emerging solutions into modern power systems. The rapid expansion of renewable energy sources across Europe is transforming and challenging the energy sector. While renewable energy technologies offer significant environmental and economic benefits, each technology presents distinct advantages and limitations that are influenced by geographical, technical, regulatory, and socio-economic factors. Understanding these opportunities and challenges is essential for developing resilient, secure, and sustainable energy systems capable of meeting future energy demands.

The Summer Academy will serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, professional development, and interdisciplinary collaboration, enabling participants to explore innovative approaches and best practices for achieving a successful and sustainable energy transition.
