Introduction – Overview

The Summer Academy for Economics, Finance, Banking, and Insurance will offer lectures of special interest within the framework of the “Global UBT Fest 2026” Festival. Therefore, participants will be able to understand and analyze current economic developments, as well as be able to predict future economic developments in Kosovo and the Western Balkan countries. Most of the lectures that will be offered during this academy will analyze the main determinants of the economy and the determinants of economic growth, financial development, challenges of sustainable financial development, the investment environment with a focus on capital markets, digital banks and cryptocurrencies, challenges of the development of the insurance sector, as well as financial reporting standards together with tax policies.

Within the framework of this summer school, lectures in the form of training on Saving Game will also be offered. The Savings Game training is highly interactive for families, young people and small family businesses who want to learn the art of efficient family budget management and savings mobilization. Moreover, this module is mandatory to successfully complete this summer academy.This summer academy will bring together students and lecturers with exceptional experience in the field of economics and finance, who are proven nationally and internationally.Special importance will also be given to the industry sector, where lectures and sections directly related to the labor market will be offered. The MBE Faculty plans to organize this summer academy from 01.07.2026 to 10.07.2026.
