TITLE: SPORTS AND TECHNOLOGY

As in any other field of human activity, technology has also intervened in sports disciplines, improving many aspects of the good of sports and athletes. The debate over technological developments is no longer in terms of using “for good” or “for bad”, but how to use technology in your function. Thanks to new modern apparatus, state-of-the-art machinery, and modern engineering, technology is improving the spectrum of human body movements, producing individuals who defy the limits of nature. We have athletes who jump higher and higher, run faster and faster, or score more and more accurately based on measurements from sophisticated apparatus. These devices assess an athlete’s body, measure every system in his body, and direct his movement by improving it to the tenths or hundreds of seconds.

This academy is important because it will give participants a detailed overview of the role and importance of using technology in sports, also participants will gain knowledge about performance testing in sports, as well as about organizing events and sports competitions. , more specific discussions during forums and workshops will focus on different methods and techniques that facilitate learning and acquisition of knowledge in the digital age.

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate performance testing: students after the end of the workshop will gain knowledge about performance testing in sports and at the same time will be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of performance testing of athletes.
  • Evaluate the role of technology in sports: attendees after the information received from international and local experts about the role of technology in sports, will be able to appreciate the role that technology has in sports.
  • To know how to organize sports competitions: through the organization of sports competitions, students will gain organizational knowledge and will have the opportunity to socialize with each other.
  • Organize outdoor activities: through the organization of hiking, students will gain organizational knowledge for nature walks and at the same time will be acquainted with the natural beauties of the country.

Target groups: Students of the Faculty of Sports and Movement Sciences, as well as for competitions and entertainment events, professors, and students of all other departments within UBT.
